The Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts presents a harmonious blend of science and the performing arts. Its 130,000-square-foot complex consists of an IMAX theater, a 240-exhibits science and technology center, and a 664-seat theater space that hosts events by the likes of the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, the Harrisburg Choral Society, and many other groups. The Center lies downtown, on the east side of the river, just above Harrisburg Hospital.
