Fort Hunter Mansion is the centerpiece of the beautiful, 40-acre Fort Hunter Park. The Mansion and surrounding grounds were constructed as a plantation complex in the early 1800s. Visitors may tour the house and the museum inside it, walk about the park, play on the playground, or picnic along the scenic riverfront. The park and mansion lies six miles north of Harrisburg, along the Susquehanna River on Front Street.
