I've only been with friends after hitting the bar scene on 2nd Street, but they LOVED it. I'd liken it to Jersey-style pizza, which isn't bad, I have to say. Service could be better/friendlier, but I probably wouldn't be too pleasant to drunk patrons at 2 in the morning.

I love Palumbo's, because they have such a vast varity of gourmet pizza's! I never know what to get. So I try every new pizza they have when I go either for lunch or late nights downtown. Pittsburg Pizza is my second favorite, but nothing in this world is as good as GRANDMA Pizza.!!!!! They are very creative with their pizza's, plus it's real gourmet not just toppings like every other pizza places in the area. Each pizza has it's own type of sauce for each pizza. Palumbo's also has great bolie's and subs on home made bread. If your in the area of Harrisburg, a must try!! I have been going to Palumbo's since I was a kid, it is like a Harrisburg area icon. Hey Palumbo's if that Grandma Pizza is your grandma's receipt tell her I love her for it!!!!

I've lived in NYC and had some really good pizza...and Palumbo's comes the closest of any pizza joint. Crispy crust. Not too much dough. Great toppings. I strongly recommend trying their Grandma pizza, the Holiday pizza or the BBQ Chicken. One slice is enough for an average person, too.

Wow, what a great place to get food! Finally, a Harrisburg landmark we can be proud of. They have great food, great service, large variety, reasonable prices, and everything is made in house. It's the best place to go if you want a quick bite to eat in Harrisburg. Pizza √ Stromboli √ Subs √ Sandwiches √ Salads √ Dinners √ Appz √ They're even open Friday and Saturday until 3 am!

comming to PA from NYC it was going to be difficult trusting a pizzeria. I wont go near a pizza if the presentation is off. I have been spoiled and blessed at the same time with having the best pizza in the U.S. The pizza dough was crunchy, the sauce was just right and the servicde was great. I then knew why I always saw people sitting inside and outside having food. Next time i'm in PA I will visit Palumbo. Turns out the guys were from the old neighborhood. ( Brooklyn)
